Goals: Build a logo system that will allow each employee resource group to have its own indentity while differentiating them from customer facing products and maintaining Oracle brand consistency.

Overview:

Oracle is a large company with rich culture and diverse of employees. In years, the employees has gethered around and build many groups to help each other in live and professionally. However, the previous ERG logos didn't have great visual system or consistance to show the spirits of Oracle people, they didn't align with the new Oracle brand.

We realized that the expression of ERG (Employee Resource Group) is important and should be represented with respect to the groups and the Oracle brand. We got the requests from the Oracle D&I (Diversity and Inclusion) to update their logos.

Overview:

Oracle is a large company with many product and services across LOB (ranging from customer facing products, events, partnership to internal teams, tools, etc.). Our team has started to explore a logo architecture work stream to help simplify, add distinction, and lower confusion.

The expression of ERG (Employee Resource Group) is important and should be represented with respect to the groups and the Oracle brand. We should be extra cautious to not create a logo that could be misinterpreted as a line of business or customer products.

Approach and exploration

ERG logo designs can be approached differently depending on priorities. Each approach identified here offers different ways to build distinction between groups while positioning ERG's as a holistic program.

We considered for the logo system:

Full ERG logo system

The idea of D&I logo is "gethering". Every ERG group is employees gether together, find similar people, find a place to have their voice out. It is a big community which build by every little pieces.

We took 1small piece from each group, "together, we are stronger" which also matches the goal of the project and mission of Oracle D&I.
