Overview:
HTF is a new brand identity system for the Los Angeles Historic Theatre Foundation which is a non-profit, tax-exempt membership and volunteer-powered organization.
HTF brand came with a new logo mark, websites, promotion posters, streaming show on twitch, and special segments to bring new voices and energy to their audience and local communities.
Description:
A brand identity system course reimagined the local non-profit organization – Los Angeles Historic Theatre Foundation. The project is aiming to bring awareness to the organization by giving them a younger and fresher image to the public and their audience. The project was done individually with various disciplines.
Over the course of 14 weeks, research, pitch, design and present both physical printing design and conceptualize the overall project.
HTF is a new brand identity system for the Los Angeles Historic Theatre Foundation with a new logo, websites, app, poster and special segments to bring new voices and energy to the local organization.
Visual Concept
Project Overview
The HTF new brand style was inspired by the antique fancy architecture, both interior and exterior of the theatres which built back in 1920s in the theater district in Los Angeles. The brand colors are picked from the theatre decorations, ceilings with show lighting.

The Los Angeles Historic Theatre Foundation is a spirited organization pursuing excellence and innovation in the creation of unique arts and entertainment destinations that bring together commercial and non-profit historic theatre enterprises. LAHTF aims to present a thoughtfully curated variety of quality film and performing arts events, advance arts education, and support communities interested in reviving historic theatres as catalysts for the arts, entertainment, new businesses, and residential living. Successful historic theatre projects build community and strengthen economic development and vitality.
The custom typeface, HTF Display, is designed for the logo and the whole identity system. Focusing on individuals and some positive energy of the organization and their audience, that HTF becomes unique and introduces its own visual language in a very playful, geometrical and modern way. Each element of the identity system works as a communication tool for them.

The HTF flier is designed as a quarterly mailer which sends to the neighborhood as a way of promoting the new HTF visual identity and events. The audiences who buy tickets and go to the events can also grab it at the theatre, to check the upcoming events and show schedule. The back side of the flier is the show posters, people can also collect them.
